What is Traddyland?
"Traddyland" A term used to refer to a specific subculture or community within traditionalist or conservative religious circles, particularly in Catholicism. It typically refers to groups or individuals who embrace older, more traditional practices of the faith, such as Latin Mass (the Tridentine Mass), and hold a more rigid interpretation of doctrine and church teachings. These groups are often critical of the modernizing reforms introduced by the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) and may reject or avoid certain contemporary changes in church practices, liturgy, and theology. It often highlights a sense of insularity or self-identification based on religious orthodoxy and a cultural nostalgia for the pre-Vatican II Church.
